The Community Influences and Designs

In a world full of social networks and social media, brands are beginning to listen to the consumers more and more. Brands now have access to unlimited think tanks all across the web, where consumers blog about what they want to see in future products. This is happening in every industry, but the fashion industry may notice it the most. There has been an exponential increase in start-up clothing lines over the last few years. Every celebrity wants their own line and every kid out of SCAD and FIT wants one also. Everyone has their own style and preferences in clothing, but up until now they could only get what big brands created. Times are changing and sites like Threadless.com are making individualization possible. Users can design their own shirts and the community ranks and buys the clothing. While Threadless has received a significant amount of press lately, they are just the beginning of a new wave of fashion. Cosumers should be able to do more than just design their own line. They should be able to make industry connection, search for inspiration, find jobs and influence the multinational brands like Polo and Nike. This is the start of a revolution and MOHKAlife is going to be the platform for it.
